Scoring & lineups
Both clubs keep a linked GameChanger team for the season. Each game has one official book: nine in the field or only one side scoring → the other book is official; both scoring → home is official.

Spring 2027 MSBL leads with ops, eligibility, and stats. Official-book rules below apply whenever clubs score in GameChanger. Pitch-by-pitch desk scoring stays a winter buildout — not a fan-watch pitch.
Policy in one line
Nine-man club or only one side scoring → the other GameChanger book is official. Both scoring → home book is official. Optional remote scorer if the game is livestreamed and the manager allows it.
Official scorer
If only one team is scoring the game in GameChanger, that team’s book is official — including when it is the away club. If both teams are scoring, the home book is official. Judgment calls — hit vs error, wild pitch vs passed ball, earned vs unearned — follow the official book. The other club’s book is for their own records and does not override on judgment.
Season GameChanger requirement
Both teams must have a commissioner-approved public GameChanger team link on file for the season. That keeps roster identity and eligibility stats honest. It does not mean both dugouts must live-score every pitch when short-handed.
Nine in the field
If one team has only nine players — or only one side is scoring — the other GameChanger book is the official book for that game.
Remote scorer (optional)
If the game is being live streamed and the team manager allows it, a parent, fan, or player at home can score that club’s GameChanger book. Optional help when the manager wants it — not a fan-watch product.
Lineup exchange (QR)
Before first pitch, each manager locks a batting order on the hub game page. Opponents open Scan lineup QR on the game card (or use the phone camera) to import names and numbers into GameChanger or the DLD scorer. Plate meeting still confirms jersey numbers match. QR fixes wrong-player entry; it does not decide hit vs error.
Protests
Rule mistakes (wrong batter, illegal sub) may be protested per league rules. Judgment disputes (hit/error) are not protestable — the official book for that game stands (sole scorer, or home when both are scoring).
